Cleaning Growlers
Growler Cleaning:
Rinse well.
Growler cleaning in more detail:
Keeping your growler clean is very simple.
Directly after use, rinse with hot water and air dry.
Soap is not recommended as it can leave a residue in the growler that can cause off-flavors and undesired effects on the beer.
If you do choose to use soap, use a soap that is unscented.
If you use a brush make sure that it is a soft brush that will not scratch the inside of the growler.
Growlers can be sanitized. After a hot sanitization, rinse with cold water before filling, especially if you are not a fan of warm beer.
If you need to remove some funk try a little salt and lemon.
And in the end, make sure to rinse it well.
